a press statement release by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, With news making headlines of expired Coca-Cola products flooding the Cross River State confectionery market, and following investigations by the Food Safety and Inspectorate Unit of the Ministry of Health, the State Ministry of Health is calling on the general public to be very vigilant.
It was reported that a good percentage of expired Coca-Cola products were flooding the State and it’s environs, with some dating back to August 2018.
In a press release signed by the State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Inyang Asibong, the public is hereby advised to look out for any expired Coca-Cola products like, Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Five Alive, etc.
The Statement said, “Investigations were carried out by the Food Safety and Inspectorate Unit of the Ministry and the necessary actions have been carried out. However, the team are on red alert and have set up modalities to ensure there’s a strict adherence to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) policy in the country.
