Man United are preparing an offer for Gary Cahill in the forthcoming winter transfer window,
The 32-year-old Cahill according to reports has been informed he is free to leave in January 2019 – Cahill claimed the Premier League title under Mourinho at Chelsea has spent eight seasons at Stamford Bridge Premier League giants Manchester United are plotting an offer for Chelsea captain Gary Cahill after the England star was informed he is free to quit Stamford Bridge. According to a UK Metro report citing Express, the 32-year-old has been assured by club’s chiefs that they will not stop him from leaving if a credible offer that satisfies everyone concerned in the winter transfer window in January. Interestingly, in the current campaign, Cahill has featured in only six matches for Chelsea this term with Italian boss Maurizio Sarri opting for the pair of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger at centre-back.
The report further suggest that Man United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to table a January bid for the England international, whose contract at Stamford Bridge, expires next summer. At the last count, the 32-year-old Cahill has claimed the Premier League title under Mourinho at Chelsea, has been linked with a switch to the likes of Southampton, West Ham, Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.
Reacting about a possible move away from west London, Cahill, who is in his eighth season at Chelsea says he is looking forward to get a positive response from the club’s chiefs when potential suitors make move. “Obviously the most important thing is the club, but I have to look at my situation,” Cahill said in Septem.
And if I’m sat doing what I’m doing at this moment in time, I just hope that the club will respect that when it comes to the time.” Meanwhile, previously had reported that Eden Hazard has applauded former Chelsea star Joe Cole for his timely advice that saw him move to Stamford Bridge despite other suitors. The Belgium playmaker Hazard completed a switch to west London in 2012 after a 5-year stint at French League 1 side Lille. According to The Mirror report, the Belgian remains grateful that Cole convinced him to make the switch, while at Lille during the 2011/12 season.
